Where To Find The Best Romance Books Online?

Filed in Romance Books
Topics on romance are usually very popular. Many technological advancements have made it possible for us to download romance books to read online. Electronic books, eBooks and digital books are some of the names we refer to books that we download on the internet.
We are going to discuss the various ways in which the internet helps you to find quality romance books to read online, and a few things to be careful with along the way.
Safety First!
The internet is a somewhat safer place to do browsing and downloads compared to a few years ago. Downloading romance books or novels to read online is good and all, but security is also important. Malicious websites and downloadables will cause problems for your computer. This is about making sure your personal computer is ready to tackle potentially rogue websites, malware, viruses, and other nuisances.
There is always the possibility that whatever you are searching for online (including digital romance books) may have been tampered with, to unleash infections on an unsuspecting computer. The possibility of your computer getting infected while looking for, or from a downloaded romance novel is pretty minute. However, it needs to be mentioned again that you should not skimp on security to combat whatever threats may arise. This will make for a better experience with regards to downloading romance stories to read online.
Popular Ways To Find Romance Novels Online
Finding romance books to read online is not difficult at all, even if you are looking for a website with many available. One of the easiest ways to obtain romance novels are shopping sites, since they usually have a lot of romance books for sale. You’ll find paperback romance novels, and sometimes digital downloadable romance novels at shopping sites.
Romance books are usually affordable, but you will spend a lot of money if you are going to buy a lot of romance novels. A couple of places may offer free romance books, but don’t expect to find a lot of books and what you find, might have some of its content taken out. Like downloading a romance novel, only to realize you’ve been given the first few pages only. Obviously, you have to pay to get the rest of the romance novel.
Online subscriptions provide a pretty good alternative. These pretty much allow you to download romance books to read online when you subscribe. Most offer monthly subscriptions, but websites with lifetime subscriptions exist and are generally cheaper. In a nutshell, these subscription sites have libraries of eBooks available and you have access to them online.
Romance Reading Evolved
The computer has become a staple with regards to reading love and romance novels, but other methods and devices have become commonplace in recent years. Other devices that allow you to read digital books include, the iPad, Kindle and Nook. These digital book readers are often called portable eReaders.
People love eReaders because they are lightweight, user-friendly, and allows you to carry a multitude of eBooks wherever you want to go. Many eReading devices have a battery life that can last weeks at a time. The technology behind eReaders allow for easy readability of your desired romance novel.
Let’s put it all in perspective. Having a security program(s) on your computer, is highly recommended before doing any serious downloading and web browsing for romance novels. If you have an eReader, it provides a great way for reading romance stories on the go. The last thing is that subscription websites may provide the best chance of accessing huge databases of romance novels at the lowest cost.

Author Piers Anthony.
I was never into romance until I read one of his books at someone’s request. I couldn’t put it down. Same with most of his books. They are great! Two of his books were made into movies (as the saying goes the books were much better than the movies). The movies were Message in A Bottle and The Notebook.
I just read two of his that were good:
- Nights in Rodanthe
- The Rescue

I am an avid romance reader. So I’ve got lots of recommendations for you.Mail me if you want more recommendations.
Texas Chase-Sandra Brown
Chase Tyler is completely out of his mind after the death of his beautiful pregnant wife. He pretty much loses it and goes back into bull riding and drinking way too much. That’s when Marcie finds him. Marcie just happens to be the one who was driving the car that his wife died in and has been in love with chase herself since grade school. Marcie manages to clean him up and to save his family business, marry him. The tension between them was hard to read at times because you knew they really wanted each other and just wouldn’t admit it.
Lord of the storm -Justine Davis
The story takes place in a futuristic world in which an intergalactic Coalition rules with an iron fist over all of the planets and inhabitants. Shaylah Graymist is a fighter pilot for the Coalition, albeit a slightly reluctant one, who loves to fly but disapproves of the Coalition’s brutal tactics for subduing unwilling populations. As a reward for her heroism, she is given a slave named Wolf, who wears a gold collar, indicating that he can be programmed by a controller to perform sexually for his master. In this society, Shaylah is considered a prude because she believes in the “old fashioned idea of bonding, or mating for life, and decries the sexual slave practices of her friends. She refuses to use the controller to force Wolf to make love to her. Instead, she and Wolf develop a strange friendship and she discovers that he is one of the last survivors of a paradise named Trios. While Wolf is drawn to Shaylah, he can never forget that he is a slave and that his world and family have been destroyed by the forces that she allies herself with.
The sky pirate-Justine Davis
The Skypirate is the sequel to Lord of the Storm. Like the original, it takes place in a futuristic world where the evil Coalition rules over all of the planets and enslaves many of the conquered populations. Califa Claxton is the former friend of Shaylah Graymist. Califa had given Shaylah a beautiful slave named Wolf as a “gift”, and was subsquently forced to sell him when he became uncontrollable.s The Skypirate opens, we meet a much different Califa. She has been thrown in prison and branded with a gold slave collar for letting Wolf escape and refusing to betray Shaylah. When Dax Silverbrake, a notorious skypirate from the conquered planet Trios, rescues her cell-mate, Califa demands to be taken along as well. At first Dax does not know that Califa is a former Coalition officer. He has his own demons – his family was killed along with most of Trios’ population, and he lives life on the edge in an unconscious wish to join them in death. When he and his crew discover the shocking truth about Califa’s past, she must convince them that she is an entirely changed woman.
The De-burgh bride
An edict from King Edward demands that one of the de Burgh brothers wed Elene Fitzhugh and Geoffrey de Burgh has drawn the short straw. The Fitzhugh’s reputation for being a shrew is legendary; she killed her last husband in cold blood on their wedding night. So it’s with no little trepidation that Geoffrey, the patient scholar of the family, travels to Fitzhugh Manor to wed his unwanted bride-to-be and take control of her land.
It’s not exactly love at first sight. A wild mane of ginger hair covers Elene Fitzhugh’s face and many of her expressions, but her foulmouthed curses and her ever present dagger leave Geoffrey with little doubt that his marriage will be a constant battle.
The Temporary Wife by Mary Balogh
The Marquess of Staunton cold-bloodedly advertises for a governess for his non-existent children, chooses the plainest and dullest applicant, and offers her marriage. His only motive is to anger his estranged father, who has chosen a different bride for him. After he has presented her to his family, he plans to establish her somewhere with a great deal of money and never see her again. Charity Duncan agrees to the strange bargain because she is desperate for money to help support her brothers and sisters. But when she meets his family and recognizes the pain behind the estrangement, her warm heart cannot remain aloof. And when Staunton realizes that his temporary wife is in fact neither plain nor dull, his cold heart stirs to new life.
Duncan’s Bride-Linda Howard
Reese Duncan lost half his ranch and all his dreams to his ex-wife, so when it came time for a family he did the logical thing: he advertised for a bride. She had to be willing to work, to bear his children and to settle for lovemaking in place of love. It sounded perfect – until Madelyn Patterson arrived.
One look and he had to have her. Never mind that she was New York and nightlife to his own plain-spoken Montana ways. She was willing to herd cattle, wax floors and bake biscuits by the dozen. She was even willing to bear his children – but at a price he couldn’t pay. Madelyn wanted love – and he was a man who had no love to give.
A good series is the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The books provide an alternate take on vampires.People who are unjustly murdered call upon Artemis(Greek goddess) and she grants them a day to avenge themselves. After that they are recruited to her army to fight against evil. These are romance novels.Best of the series are ‘Dance with the devil’ and ‘Seize the night’.
Dance with the devil by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The following review is taken from Amazon.Zarek was mad, bad and more than a little insane, and now everyone wants him dead. But hey, that was nothing new to this loner. Born the bastard son of a Roman nobleman and a Greek slave, Zarek had known a lifetime of abuse, torture and humiliation.
It takes a very special woman to see past that hostility and find the lost, unloved boy inside. Happily, Astrid is such a woman (or demigoddess, actually). Her empathy, patience and unconditional love make the perfect foil for Zarek’s personal demons. They truly are a match made in heaven — or should I say Mt. Olympus?
Bliss-Lynsay SandsIn 1173 England, King Henry would prefer warring with the French rather than deal with another protest from either Lady Tiernay or Lord Holden. The two neighbors are always squabbling even if the latter has been fighting on the continent. However, the clever King decides the easiest way to end this neighborly dispute is to order the two combatants to marry one another. Lady Tiernay rejects her monarch’s plan. She uses a variety of ruses to force Holden to plead with King Henry to stop their marriage. Lord Holden quickly comprehends the trickery of his betrothed and tries to trump her so that she begs off with His Highness. Love blossoms so that neither one wants to entreat King Henry with repealing his edict.

Wife Trap
After orchestrating a scandalous high-society ruse, Lady Jeannette Brantford is banished from her family’s estate in England and sent to live with boring elderly cousins in the Irish countryside. But Jeannette’s exile is surprisingly eventful. Haven’t read these for a long time, but you might want to try “Ashes in the Wind” and some of the others by Kathleen Woodewisse (I’m afraid that I’m not even remembering her name entirely correctly, but it’s close, and the name of the book is right.)
This particular one takes place in the Civil War era and was really good. She has several others that are also good.

The most beautiful love story I have ever read is called “The Republic of Love” by Carol Shields. I had sections of it read at my wedding. Honestly, it is so touching, beautiful and sweet. It made me believe that love at first sight was possible.
I cannot recommend this book enough.

Great historical romance,
Three years ago Lady Isabel broke Duncan MacGruder’s heart when she ended their engagement to become the Earl of Frayser’s mistress. So she is the woman he really never wants to see again, but he promised her dying brother to keep her safe. What he doesn’t know is that she didn’t willingly end their relationship; it was the only way to save her father. She still loves him, but will those two have a second chance for their love or are the intrigues around them stronger?
With HIS WOMAN, Ms. Cosby has written another intriguing and absolutely spellbinding novel. She takes her readers on a journey back in time to Medieval Scotland with all of the vivid details she writes about. Duncan is the perfect Highland warrior, strong and stubborn, but he has also a caring and soft side to him. At first the reader wants to wring Isabel’s neck because of the way she made Duncan suffer when she ended her engagement. However, as soon as the reader gets to know her better you see behind the façade and see the reasons for her actions. Duncan is a man of honor who keeps his promise to Symon, Isabel’s dying brother, no matter his hard feelings toward her. Both Isabel and Duncan are in for quite some surprises and dangers as the story goes on.
HIS WOMAN is the sequel to HIS CAPTIVE and I can tell you that there will be more MacGruder stories. I can hardly wait to read them. Ms. Cosby is definitely an author to keep an eye on, especially if you like hunky and sexy Highlanders.

Diana Cosby continues the series to new Heights,
I just feel I have to share this with fellow readers of Diana Cosby–if you think His CaptiveHis Captive (Zebra Debut) was a lustful historical romp through Scotland’s somewhat ancient past–you are really in for a wonderful wonderful surprise–with her newest book called His Woman–while they can be read separately with almost equal results–this new volume shows the direction and future of this new author to best advantage–there is little question that one day soon she will be up there with the greats of this gendre–
To be quite honest–I just couldn’t put the novel down–hope she gets busy and does the next in the line so I can be up all night again finding the outcome of her wonderful storyline…Thank you Ms. Cosby for giving me a great night and adventure…keep writing and we all will keep reading…

Horrible. Absolutely Horrible,
I am honestly floored that this book had any reviews over 2 stars. I had to review because I am genuinely worried someone else will buy this book. I’m not summarizing it here- just writing the review part.
There is next to no character development and we gain little insight into their feelings throughout the book except when it comes to how much they used to love each other. They’re being hunted by evil people and apparently that is the time for him to begin to remember how great they were together. And then they go BACK into danger after narrowly escaping and they think more about how sexy the other is. They were both incredibly stupid TSTL really, on numerous occasions. At one point the bad dudes are apparently somewhat in the vicinity of their hiding place so she decides she should sacrifice herself by making her presence known- however they’re so far away they don’t even see her! WT? Why would she just assume they’re going to find her?
There are numerous plot holes. She’s been living as Frasyer’s mistress for three years and, even though it’s just for appearances sake, he NEVER sleeps with her. Supposedly he wanted to get back at Duncan for a childhood squabble and obviously the best way to do this would be to actually sleep with her! Another one- It turns out that her own father had actually maneuvered and tricked her and Frasyer so that she would become Frasyer’s mistress. He, and another man, wanted to protect her and were worried a big secret about her would be discovered. However, no one suspected anything about this secret, and this was a VERY strong case of jumping the gun. Seriously- sending your daughter off to be a wicked man’s whore because you think a secret that no one knows about will be revealed- that’s ridiculous. And unfortunately that whole mistress thing is the main basis for the romantic storyline.
Also- there’s magic. There’s no mention of this anywhere, but there’s some brief bits of supernatural fluff in the form of these glowing necklaces that apparently only glow when true love is around or something. Finishing this book was a chore.
