ABOUT THE OWNER: Tynisha Thompson, Founder and President of Book Savvy Media has been named “One to Watch” by the Black Issues Book Review Magazine in 2006. Ms. Thompson is a publishing industry insider, having worked at Farrar, Strauss and Giroux, Doubleday Entertainment, Black Expressions Book Club, and for renowned agent and editor Marie Dutton Brown as an Junior Literary Agent. Ms. Thompson is also an accomplished freelance writer with many credits to her name including Essence Magazine, Honey Magazine and The Network Journal.

In 2007, Tynisha helped to usher the summer’s biggest book, I Got Your Back by Eddie and Gerald Levert to the New York Times Bestseller List. Her 7+ years of experience in traditional publishing has positioned her as an expert, but more importantly it has given her the experience necessary to work, inspire and help her clients succeed.

Tynisha Thompson launched Book Savvy Media, LLC – a boutique book and information marketing and coaching firm specializing in teaching authors, speakers, and experts how to write and publish a book and create a media empire from their book. Her motto is “It’s not Just a Book, it’s a Business”.

Tynisha, has always believed in providing more than superior service to her clients. She knows that sharing her wisdom with her clients and helping them to create realistic brands that will result in them making more money, selling more books and building a larger fan base. The launch of Book Savvy Media, LLC marks Ms. Thompson’s unique recipe for promoting books using social media marketing and brand building to every one of her clients. Over the course of her growing career, Ms. Thompson has worked with a variety of authors, writers and professionals on their marketing and publicity plans. Her passion for figuring out new and creative ways for authors to reach their target markets while helping them create multiple streams of revenue from their books is well known. She is a featured speaker at this year’s Social Media Telesummit, where she will teach authors how to boost their book sales by creating a profit-producing virtual book tour.
